M.C., Female
Where to begin? As a mother of twin 14-year-old boys and another son just 22 months younger - all born via c-section - my life is busy and active. Between raising my family, teaching marketing, running a DECA chapter, and keeping up with my boys’ many sports (football, basketball, wrestling, and baseball), I’m constantly on the move.
In the spring of 2024, I injured my knee, which caused me to adjust how I walked. By September, after moving furniture, I aggravated my sciatica and could hardly function. I sought immediate care from my chiropractor, Dr. Chad Thornock, who treated me multiple times per week and eventually referred me to Dr. Grace Waters.
Dr. Grace came highly recommended, as she is one of the only physical therapists in Eastern Washington specializing in pelvic floor therapy and post-c-section recovery. From day one, she carefully identified my key issues and created a treatment plan tailored to me. She not only helped rebuild my pelvic floor and strengthen my sciatica but also equipped me with tools I can use daily - whether sitting in the car for hours traveling to sports or flying across the country with my DECA students.
Dr. Grace is professional, thoughtful, and deeply committed to her patients’ well-being. Her support and expertise made all the difference in my recovery. I am beyond grateful for her care and highly recommend her to anyone seeking compassionate and specialized physical therapy.

Y.G., Female, 34 years old
I have struggled with pelvic floor issues most of my life, and after having children, my symptoms were exacerbated.
I came to Grace while pregnant with my second child, struggling with significant pelvic floor pain during workouts. I was anxious and embarrassed to be experiencing significant urinary incontinence so early into my pregnancy and shared my long history with this condition. From the beginning, it was clear that Grace was both knowledgeable and deeply passionate about her work. She created a safe, judgment-free space where topics like incontinence and pelvic pain were easy to talk about.
Grace helped me set realistic, achievable goals and took the time to explain everything in ways I could truly understand. She equipped me with tools to stay active throughout my pregnancy and to manage my pain as my body changed dramatically.
At six weeks postpartum, I returned to continue my pelvic floor healing. Grace carefully structured my therapy to support healing while gradually rebuilding strength. Thanks to her guidance, I was able to safely return to lifting heavy weights in the gym—and lifting my kids—without experiencing incontinence.
The techniques I learned for breathing, movement control, and strength are now lifelong tools. I can now play with my children, coach sports, and pursue my gym goals free from pain, incontinence, or shame.
Working with Grace truly changed my life. I feel more confident and more in control of my body than ever before. I can’t recommend her highly enough.

A.D., Female, 34 years old
Dr. Grace and her care have quite literally changed my life. I began working with her almost a decade ago, and since then my health and experiences with medical professionals have completely shifted. Prior to seeing her, I had worked with several doctors and physical therapists for a variety of issues - back pain, wrists, shoulders, ankles, and knees included. I had been gaslit, treated as if I were seeking pain medication, and made to feel like I was a hypochondriac for years, despite scans and tests indicating otherwise. After years of surgeries, medications, appointments, scans, and medical trauma, I reached out to Dr. Grace as a last ditch effort.
I first contacted her about a wrist injury that I sustained and, through telehealth (!), she was able to determine potential causes and advise me to speak to my doctors about scans to check my TFCC. The doctor pushed back a little, but after running tests, a tear in my TFCC was confirmed. After my surgery, she was able to walk me through exercises to help with recovery and subsequent nerve pain.
I reached out again after dislocating a shoulder, and then again after issues with my back and neck. I had previously seen other doctors and PTs for those specific problems, but I was never able to find long-lasting relief, and they were all treated as isolated incidents.
After seeing me for all these things and asking a few other questions about my medical history, Dr. Grace suggested that a holistic approach might be necessary. She recommended that I speak to a rheumatologist specifically about a connective tissue disorder. I used that exact phrase, and after one, simple test, I was diagnosed with Hypermobile Ehlers Danlos Syndrome. Every single injury and bizarre symptom I’d had since childhood was explained. It was validating, and it was cathartic. Without Dr. Grace’s guidance in that, I’m not sure that I would have ever received a diagnosis, and I undoubtedly would have had to endure more medical trauma.
Since my diagnosis, Dr. Grace has helped me navigate all of its challenges. She’s worked with me through two pregnancies for SI Joint Dysfunction as well as preventative Pelvic Floor Therapy. After those pregnancies, she continued my PFT, resulting in zero issues with incontinence or PF pain. She has continued to work with me on new injuries, but most importantly, and most helpfully, she has helped me to navigate physical activities in ways that protect against and prevent them altogether.
Unlike my doctors and physical therapists in the past, Dr. Grace has never dismissed my concerns or pain. While other medical professionals suggested that I avoid the physical activities that I love, Dr. Grace has taught me how to do them safely. When I do experience issues, my recovery time is much less than it was previously. Her care has resulted in fewer physical injuries, less daily pain, and the education I need to advocate for myself. Her competent, compassionate, and holistic care has, with no exaggeration, given me my life back.
Additionally, because my diagnosis is genetic, multiple family members with similar bizarre symptoms have been diagnosed and received care, some of them early enough to prevent the injuries and medical trauma from ever occurring. Dr. Grace’s ability to look at the bigger picture of my health and her vast knowledge of the human body have resulted in her unknowingly and unintentionally not only improving my life, but my family’s as well.

S.W., Female, 54 years old
I initially met Grace after being referred to PT for chronic back pain, but after being diagnosed with uterine, bladder and rectal prolapse my OB Gyn sent me to her for pelvic floor training. As I’ve worked with her, both before and after prolapse surgery, it’s been clear that she is a remarkably knowledgeable pelvic floor physical therapist as well as absolutely dedicated to providing quality care to her patients.
She is compassionate and encouraging, but also honest and direct when I need to be challenged. She is passionate about patient education and takes the time to carefully explain the “why” behind the therapy she recommends. Generous with her time and expertise, she has advocated for me with other providers and has even spent her own time researching answers to my questions.
Her colleagues, both in the physical therapy clinic and the larger healthcare network in our community, look to her as an expert in her field of treatment and respect her insights and recommendations for patient care. I am thankful for the time I’ve been in her care, not only because she is one of the best healthcare providers I've ever had the opportunity to work with, but also because she is genuine, relatable, and honestly just a delightful person to be around.

Lauren, CPM, Licensed Midwife
I can't say enough positive things about Grace and her pelvic floor physical therapy practice. I have worked with Grace as a referring provider (Midwife) for about two years and more recently become a patient myself. Grace is an extremely skilled pelvic floor physical therapist and her expertise in this specialty is evident in her care.
As a midwife practicing at a busy birth center, I referred countless patients in the perinatal period (pregnancy and postpartum) to Grace's care and each person came back thrilled with their experience. My patients repeatedly reflected on how comfortable they felt with Grace and how thankful they were to be receiving treatment with her. Grace treated my patients with great sensitivity and addressed both common pregnancy/postpartum concerns and complex pelvic floor concerns. Clients often shared about how much time Grace spent with them providing education and options for treatment. They reflected on how Grace made appointments accessible to them and their families in late pregnancy, and later on with babies and children in-tow. Patients felt more prepared for their births after working with Grace during pregnancy.
I also became a patient of Grace's myself while pregnant. I was immediately impressed by her care. Grace is very personable and well-spoken. She spends lots of time during appointments making sure that patients feel comfortable and safe; she is extremely thorough and makes sure that patients understand their diagnoses and care plan. Additionally, Grace makes clients active participants in their care plans. Grace has completed years of work in the pelvic floor specialty and it is evident that she is an expert in her field. I would also describe Grace's practice and presence as extremely trauma-informed, which is essential in this work.
I would recommend everyone in the perinatal period see Grace for pelvic floor physical therapy.
